8/27/11 Sang 'Happy Birthday' to Jenny who turned 102 yesterday
at a care home we sing at every other month!  Be sure to 'Like' our Facebook page,
The Full Quiver Band and get free downloads of our new CD,
On the Right Track!

8/23/11 Melody and John W. went to send off the NEW CDs
and we are as excited as YOU are :) While I (Abigail) write, James prints CDs for
more to be sent soon! Now that our tracter is in working condition,
the boys and Dad had a great time together scraping out one of our dry ponds in the
blazing hot sun.  Joshua got to drive it for the first time but I have second
thoughts about driving it.  He said, "It's very fun! You'll like it"!

8/17/11   Best weather in Missouri this past weekend!  Enjoyed driving
through the rainstorms -- there were strange drops of
transparent liquid pelting on our windshield... :-)
We were all immensely encouraged and exhausted by the end of the
weekend-- which consisted of fellowship, playing volleyball, tetherball,
human foosball, playing music as a family and in the Band Scramble, and
dancing into the wee hours of the morning!
Thank you to the Nissley family who made it all possible!

8/4/11  Can't believe the heat--triple digits!!  Guess it's exterminating
any mold and mildew problems there might be anywhere.  The boys are building a 5'-tall
wall between the piers
on the north side of the house so they're staying as cool as possible
and we're finishing the last recordings of the new CD, finishing the jacket art and keeping
the (not so) little ones on their arithmetic and reading until our weekend in
Chico, TX at Cundiff Baptist!

7/31/11  We've decided to extend the release date of our newest CD,
On the Right Track!  Check it out!!

7/17/11  So glad to be home!  This morning at 4 a.m., while still in Sapulpa, OK,
we learned from our neighbors that flames two stories high were headed
toward their house.  John called us to pray for God's intervention
and protection for all life and property.  God graciously granted that.
Our homes weren't touched and all is safe.  Hallelujah!!!

7/8/11  Went to Oklahoma today and will again this weekend.  Faith drove us with
her permit today, though.  She's getting better and better.
She's looking forward to testing for her license this next week!
We hope to see you this weekend in Colbert and Hugo!

7/5/11  We're all rested up now from a busy day of playing in what turned
out to be a Texas firecracker of a day!  We enjoyed the great outdoors, old friends,
new acquaintances, plenty of food and lots and lots of water.
That morning, we also slipped over to
the Gainesville, TX old train
depot to take
pictures for the cover of our new CD,
On the Right Track, to be released August 1!

6/27/11  We made it back safe and sound (thank God!) from the GospelGrass Fest
in Calhan, CO.  It seemed like we visited Heaven for a while!
We barn-danced, played Ultimate Frisbee, ate freshly-baked biscuits and
gravy at 1am, participated in the Band Scramble, prayed, shared the
Good News, learned a lot of new songs, saw neat new bands and
strengthened relationships with wonderful people!

6/21/11   What a blessing to fellowship with our friends here in Deer Trail, CO.  After our
drive through beautiful lands to their 6,000-ft. elevated home last night, they have made
us feel at home already!  Tomorrow we'll go up
Mt. Evans and do some fishing!

6/18/11  We've been getting alot of rain up here & yet it's been hot during the day.
Yesterday we wore ourselves out playing at three different places but then we all
went to the mall for some fun then mexican food!

6/16/11  Aaah. Winding down now at Springlake RV Resort by the lake with the
geese and lightening bugs!  Swimming and enjoying the cool weather here in Halstead, KS.
We're all enjoying the new sounds from the new Martin guitars John Walter and
Joshua got this past week!

6/6/11  Put the finishing touches on 'I Am Weary', 'Green Pastures' and 'Life is Like a
Mountain Railroad' yesterday for our new CD.  We're looking forward to
putting it all together very soon so keep checking back!

6/4/11  Had fun time visiting and singing at Melody Ranch Festival going on this weekend!
They have a great line-up this weekend if we didn't see you Thursday night.
Looking forward to this evening when David Barton's Wallbuilders will be at the
Republican Grand Old Picnic!

6/2/11 We're home now and the camper did great!  Being in the Youth in Bluegrass
Contest, we got a 4-day pass.  The children did great on their songs 'Bright Sunny
South' and 'Eastern Gate' on Saturday and 'Keep on the Sunny Side' (sung by Abi)
and 'When God Dips His Pen of Love in My Heart' on Sunday.  We didn't place
but heard some of the hottest bluegrass anywhere from some as young as five
and had a great time!

5/26/11  We made it through the switch-backs of the Ozarks with our trailer all in one
piece and saw how the old Branson had changed since John and I came with a nursing
Abigail 12 years ago.  We
played for the older folks at Culpepper and met Ray,
a WWII vet, whose B-24 Liberator was shot down in Germany.  He told us the pilots
would set their crosses in front of them before going into battle.  Thank you, Ray and
others, for putting your lives on the line for our freedom we enjoy today!

5/20/11  Looking forward to our trip to Silver Dollar City for the Youth Contest!  Got
about half the stuff packed and just ran through our four songs.
Everyone's getting
a little crazy right about now (10:50p) so we called it
quits for tonight and will hit the ground runnin' tomorrow.

5/17/11 God has provided yet again! We are once again in hot water...literally.
We've been without it since our water heater died. We'd been shopping for a tankless
and a friend of John's had a 40gal. one-still in the box-for $100! The boys put it in
and we're back in business. (We learned how important it is heating it up
on the stove for a while.)
